Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

San Jose Holiday Craft Fair/2018 Art Shows

The final art show of 2018 led me back to the San Jose Craft Fair at the San Jose Convention Center. This place had a lot of stuff for the holiday season and was the perfect place for people to find the best Christmas present.

Was I going to bet that Linda Cullen was going to show up at this show? My instincts thought that she wasn’t, but to my surprise she actually did! I don’t know what it is!

There was another booth that I definitely enjoyed! An artist named Tracey designs custom-made signs using recycled license plates found off of old cars and the best part is that she lets her customers design any kind of sign they want to.

They can be used as racks to store car keys or other things. I don’t know how I’d make greeting cards like that, but anything can happen!

As 2018 comes to a close, there were a lot of shows that I went to this year and I’d like to review them all:

-Sacramento Toy Con

-Mountain View Al A Carte & Art

-Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival

-Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival

-Livermore Art & Wine Festival

-Artist Alley (Card Sale)

-Fremont Festival of the Arts

-Niles Antique Fair

-Mountain View Art & Wine Festival

-Lafayette Art & Wine Festival

-San Carlos Art & Wine Festival

-Pleasanton Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show

-San Mateo Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show

-San Jose Holiday Craft Fair

With 2019 around the corner, I plan to revisit these shows and see some new ones and who knows what ideas will inspire me to create a new project and where my next card sale will take place!

Where in the World is Kevin’s Cards?

After my trips to Seattle and the East Coast with stops at Washington DC, New York, and Philadelphia earlier this year, I’ve been thinking about where my next destination would be because of my interest in traveling.

Recently, I’ve done projects based off places I’ve been to and plan to visit next. Each city that I did had the name of the city, skyline, city map, subway/metro map, sports teams, and major landmarks.

In addition to the cities, I’ve also done some with airports, train stations, and hotels because I feel that their the most important elements of travels.

With so many places to choose from, how do I decide where to go and what to see out there? Here’s a list of my top choices for destinations to visit:

-San Francisco

-San Jose

-Lake Tahoe

-Wine Country

-Gold Country

-Santa Cruz

-Los Angeles

-San Diego

-New York City

-Washington DC

-South Bend

-Las Vegas

-Grand Canyon

-Santa Fe

-San Antonio

-New Orleans

-Tampa Bay

-Vancouver BC

-Hong Kong

-Waikoloa/The Big Island

No matter if it’s a major city or a small town, there will always be something for me to explore wherever my next destination will take place! Now the only question is where to go? That’s definitely a tough decision for me and whole other story!

Two Years with Kevin’s Cards

This month marks two years of Kevin’s Cards!

The idea began after the passing of my grandfather, Honesto Tria in 2016, where the God Bless painting was transformed into custom-made sympathy cards to honor his legacy!

Since then, a lot of my best paintings have been made into greeting cards for all occasions and I’ve been selling them at different shows such as Artist Alley at the Alameda County Fair, and also gave them away to people who couldn’t afford to buy them.

This year, the cards have been updated with the new logo I created last year to replace my original picture and it turned out to be a better fit!

Since the holiday season is right around the corner, there will be new Christmas cards coming soon to send to loved ones!

As 2018 winds down and 2019 begins, I hope to create new projects and who knows what art show will Kevin’s Cards showcase next!
