If you thought 2022 was a success, 2023 will be even bigger than ever before!
Since the success of the “Road to Summer” Sale at Artist Alley last summer, I was inspired to write another book after publishing From Painting to Card. This one is entitled Artist Alley: Kevin’s Cards at the Alameda County Fair. It focuses on my experience at Artist Alley and I provide tips on how to make your booth a success.
This project took about five months to complete with researching on how Artist Alley was created, summarizing stories from the other book and blog posts, and creating tips. In addition, it took a lot of editing, revising, creating the layout on inDesign, and getting it published on time.
In the end, it all worked out and I’m very pleased on how it turned out. It’s available at amazonbooks.com for $11.99 and I’ll be selling copies of it during the 2023 Alameda County Fair along with From Painting to Card.
In addition, the painting demos will be returning for the first time since 2016. This was one of the most popular requests from visitors and fair staff. As I’ve previously said, I had to eliminate them at my booth mainly due to time restraints, which involve set-up, clean-up, getting people to watch, and figuring out what to say.
Now, people will finally get an opportunity to watch because I’ll be doing it in Building C from June 24-25 and June 28-29. This will be a promo leading up to the Kevin’s Cards “Summer Vibes” Sale the following week at Artist Alley.
All of the new paintings and cards will be based around summertime and summer activities such as summer camp, the beach, and of course the county fair. This will be one of the largest events I’ve done and be sure to tell all your friends, relatives, neighbors, and colleagues to stop by because you don’t want to miss out on this!
More details will be announced later and I hope to see you there!
