“Celebrate Summer” Sale (Day 6)

The second half of the “Celebrate Summer” Sale was off to a good start!

Before the fair opened, Michele Plunge came to the booth to bring me good luck. At first, I thought was going to get no sales during the day again. About an hour later, one lucky fan came and bought three cards and a calendar. Then, I got a surprise from another visitor, which I didn’t know about and bought the exact same thing.

During my break, I talked to Event Coordinator, Erika O’Bryan to see if she had any advice on doing promotion deals in case I didn’t sell enough. When I returned, another lady came to the booth and told me that she was an artist too. I told her about selling her stuff at Maker’s Market, so she bought a copy of my second book Artist Alley: Kevin’s Cards at the Alameda County Fair, along with five greeting cards.

Overall, it was a slight improvement from the previous few days, but I plan to sell a lot more paintings and books and using my promotion deals since the greeting cards and calendars have sold the best. You never know what other surprises might be in store!
