With the regular season over and the playoffs finished, the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will face off in Super Bowl LII in Minnesota.
The last Super Bowl they met was in Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, Florida in 2005 when the Patriots won 24-21, earning them their third Lombardi Trophy.
Since winning the last Super Bowl over the Atlanta Falcons in Houston, they are on the verge of winning their sixth to tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The only team the Patriots lost in the Super Bowl was the New York Giants twice. First time was 10 years ago in Super Bowl XLII in Arizona, when they were one game away from becoming the first team to finish the season 19-0. However, it was Giants WR David Tyree’s helmet catch that became part of the huge upset. The second time was in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis in 2012.
What will become the overall outcome of this game? A sixth Lombardi Trophy for the Patriots, or a first for the Eagles? You never know what’ll happen!
May the best team win!
