“Celebrate Summer” Sale (Final Day/Recap)

The final day of the “Celebrate Summer” Sale started off terrible, but had a strong finish!

As I’ve been doing every day, I had to see Michele Plunge to get even more good luck. My plan was to make a ton more money than ever before! However, only a few cards were sold and turned out very slow throughout the afternoon. This was by far one of the worst last days I ever had and I didn’t wanted to end like that, which got me a little upset.

When Erika O’Bryan came to the booth, I told her what had happened. She gave me some encouragement to never give up! As the evening rolled on, I thought for sure this was going to be a bad sale! Just then, I was able to sell more cards and a few paintings, which made me feel a lot better.

Overall, this was a historical year as this was the first time I’ve done 10 days during the summer and Erika O’Bryan broke the all time record of $763. There may have been some busy and slow days, but it was all worth it! In the end, I made a total of $900, which is the most I’ve ever made!

Special thanks to the entire Alameda County Fair staff for another great summer and to everyone who came and bought stuff! I look forward to next summer in which it’ll be Kevin’s Cards 10th Anniversary!
