“Summer Vibes” Sale Day 2

Yesterday’s sale was another slow day! Before we opened, I posted two videos on Instagram. One to honor the Alameda County Fair Staff because they are my heroes and the other where I read some letters I got from them.

After about an hour, I only got two sales. My neighbor, Shop Jale bought a calendar and I sold a few cards. Then, it was completely dead! My confidence went down and I thought for sure it was going to be 2017 or 2021 all over again!

My biggest fear was that the Artist Alley Book Launch was not going to be published on time. I went to talk with the Marketing Team and unfortunately, they said it was going to be published the next day due to short staff. This made it even worse and it felt like I was going to give up!

After a while, I was really surprised that they were able to post it after all, which meant I still had a chance to get back in the game! This lead to musician Dave Badilla and his girlfriend to buy more cards and the “Summer Vibes” Painting. After that, it was dead again!

As the days go on, I’ll have to do a whole better than that and really step it up in order to get more people to stop by!
