“Summer Vibes” Sale 4th of July

The Kevin’s Cards “Summer Vibes” Sale kicked off on the 4th of July for the first time in 5 years. Usually I get a full day to set up, but this time I only had about six hours. I thought for sure everything was going to go wrong, but to my surprise, it was a lot smoother than I expected.

One of my goals was to have the Fair Social Media team stop by and help launch my new Artist Alley book. Since they were short handed, I had a feeling that it wasn’t going to happen. However, I was lucky enough for them to do it because this meant a lot to me. Now I’m waiting for the video to be uploaded.

Since the fair closed at 8 PM, it was slower than I anticipated and I thought I was going to get shut out which got me a little frustrated. After about 3 hours, I finally got one person to buy cards. Then, it went downhill again thinking I was only going to get one sale.

Luckily, the Honky Tonk Band, who was playing nearby announced my book and that got another customer to buy more cards. What really surprised me was that she liked them so much, she decided to come back a second time and get more. Before we closed, my neighbor Leanne from Selenite Moon bought a watercolor painting, which ended on a strong note.

As the days continue, my goal is to have stronger sales by creating more videos and stronger advertisements!
