Mountain View Art & Wine Festival

Today, I returned to Mountain View to attend the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival after attending the Al A Carte and Art Festival earlier this year. As with all shows, I was on a mission to discover new artists, revisit some familiar faces, and find inspiration for upcoming projects!

Of course, there was my favorite booth, Linda Cullen and her creative bottle caps. Without question, this was definitely the one booth I’ve seen at nearly every show I’ve attended since meeting her at last year’s Harvest Festival in Pleasanton.

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of paintings can be done on different kinds of materials other than an ordinary canvas. For example, one artist I met used different kinds of wood found at antique fairs such as doors, fences, or wood scraps, and uses them to paint different scenes. Maybe that’s something I’ll consider doing!

I also noticed an artist named Ben Teeter, who usually paints portraits of famous athletes, painting a landscape inspired by Bob Ross. When I saw him at several shows, I’ve usually seen him painting something with sports. However, I was actually surprised to see him change things up a little. He could be one of the people I can collaborate on my art with.

As I continue to explore these kinds of festivals and shows, who knows what I’ll find next! Also, any of these could be a potential places to sell my cards and display my art work! All I have to do is to find the right one!
