Kevin’s Cards Art Auction

Before Kevin’s Cards existed, an art auction was held in September 2015 during my parent’s silver anniversary party/my brother’s college graduation. The purpose of it was that I wanted to sell my paintings to make money. This introduced people to my paintings after I started painting for about a year. The auction was organized by my mother’s auction company Rabin Worldwide and people had massive bidding wars on the paintings they wanted.

The highlight of the entire auction was my Kindergarten teacher won a painting entitled “Urban Landscape” for $350 after having a massive bidding war with other people. The money was donated to Save A Tahanan Inc., which is a non-profit organization in the Philippines that was co-founded by my grandparents Honesto & Rosie Tria in 1986. A year later, STI held its 30th Anniversary BBQ, which was dedicated to Papa Honesto after he passed away on July 5.

Fast forward 10 years later, I’m planning to organize an art auction during Kevin’s Cards 10th Anniversary, which coincides with STI’s 40th Anniversary, sometime in either August, September or October. The plan is auction off some of my paintings that haven’t been sold at the fair along with new ones I paint. I also plan to sell cards, books and calendars, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to STI. I’m sure my grandparents would appreciate it because they would’ve loved to participate if they were still here.

This would be a major event for Kevin’s Cards 10th Anniversary along with my 10th year at the Alameda County Fair. Hope you join us for this milestone event!
