10th Anniversary Sale (Day 8)

Yesterday’s sale was a strong one.

Right when I arrived at the fair, I ran into Michele Plunge to get more motivation. For the first time in a while, I was able to get a day sale thanks to customers buying a calendar, the Best of Kevin’s Cards: 10 Years of Painting book, and a few cards.

After a while, it went slow thinking this was going to be my only sale. At night, the promo deal worked thanks to a customer buying two paintings and getting a third one free plus a calendar. As I was sitting, I noticed Social Media Coordinator Grace Skinner hanging out with her friends. That’s when I decided to ask one of her friends to give her a painting for her mom, Stephanie Skinner, who had a health problem before the fair started. In return, she managed to buy a card.

Overall, the promo deal was the right decision and it will continue for the remainder of the fair. As we enter the final two days, I’m hoping to continue to have strong sales and break last year’s record of $900.
